Mediaedge:cia Expands in CEE

Media Insight, a WPP company operating in Romania since the year 2000, becomes Mediaedge:cia (MEC). The 23-strong team will be further coordinated by Bogdan Prajisteanu, Managing Director of Mediaedge:cia.

The agency will have both the local customers of Media Insight (Bigotti, Cargill, Elite, Ferrero, GTC, Ikea, Orkla Foods, Plus Discount, Tchibo, Safilar and URBB) and the international customers Beiersdorf, Michelin, Novartis, Sony Ericsson and Visa. According to RECMA estimates for 2006, Mediaedge:cia ranks 2nd in CEE with a turnover of 1,079 million USD.

In turn, Young&Rubicam / Team Advertising, the media partner of WPP, will affiliate to MAXUS. The 15-strong team will be further coordinated by Managing Director Nicu Laita. The Y&R portfolio includes Colgate Palmolive, Danone, Xerox, Tiriac Auto Group, Daimler Chrysler and AG Direct.
