Medlife is planning to open medical centres in Cluj, Timisoara and Bucharest and will allocate nearly 10 million EUR for investments, CEO Mihail Marcu announced. "We are going to open another four hyper-clinics, in Cluj on March 3rd, Timisoara on March 18th and two in Bucharest. The ones in Bucharest have not been scheduled yet. I believe the locations will be in Drumul Taberei and Pantelimon," Marcu said.
Medlife concluded last year with 12.7 million EUR in turnover and estimates to reach 20 million EUR in 2008, nearly 70% more y/y. The growth would be 35% compared to the overall market growth, which has been calculated at 30%. Medlife has a 17-18% market share, calculated by the number of subscribers. The company has some 170,000 subscribers and the largest surgical facility in CEE, with 1,700 square meters, and the Life Memorial Hospital.
