The majority shareholder in Stirom SA Bucharest, MGL Mediterranean Glass Limited, paid 6,28 million RON in order to increase its holding in the company by 9,18%, from 53,94% to 63,12%. The transaction was concluded last week on Rasdaq, at 10 RON/share.
In the first three quarters of 2006, glass manufacturer Stirom Bucharest posted 607.947 RON (171.736 EUR) in net profit, down 16,5 times compared to the corresponding period of 2005, when the company reported a net profit of 9,9 million RON. Stirom posted 107,53 million RON (30,37 million EUR) in turnover for the first nine months of 2006, up15,33% from the similar period of 2005.
Stirom has a share capital of 17,09 million RON, divided into 6,87 million shares and its majority shareholder is MGL Mediterranean Glass Limited, holding 53,94% in the company.
