The process began in July and included development workings in the former credit centers, located in 15 cities - Arad, Bacău, Braşov, Bucharest, Craiova, Cluj, Constanţa, Galaţi, Iaşi, Oradea, Ploieşti, Piteşti, Sibiu, Timişoara, Târgu-Mureş - as well as consistent internal trainings.
Millennium Bank, part of the leading financial private group in Portugal, Millennium bcp, started its activity on the Romanian market on October 11, 2007, by simultaneously opening 39 branches in Bucharest and in other eight cities of the country. Now, Millennium Bank has 74 units throughout Romania, addressing individuals and companies, by an extensive range of products. "The previously specialized consumer finance units have been outfitted with teller desks, so the clients can also perform transactions and make deposits", the bank said in a press release.
Almost two years ago, the bank announced its plans to open 40 units in 2008, almost double of the initial number of branches with which it entered the market in the autumn of 2007.
