He told us: "The ASF has received notifications that requests to summon the Board of Directors of the ASF have not been honored. As a result, the ASF is conducting an analysis which he also expanded to a period tjat precedes his term, concerning the manner in which the meetings of the Board of Directors of the bSE have been summoned and unfolded. This is a routine check, that concerns governance.
We (ed. Note: the ASF) request compliance with corporate governance, request transparency from all issuers, from investment management companies, from brokerage firms, from investment funds. We request it even more from the market operator".
On Friday, "BURSA" reported that the ASF was investigating the unfolding of the the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in its current term.
More specifically, the one under investigation is Lucian Anghel, the president of the BSE, because he is the one that needs to summon the Board meetings.
Some voices were claiming that Lucian Anghel is reluctant to summon the Board of the Exchange, in order to make a decision concerning the future CEO term, even though he has been requested to do so.
The postponing of this decision comes as the CEO term of Ludwik Sobolewski is ending on August 21st.
