Mobexpert Group"s regional sales rose by 29% in the first six months of the year, according to a company press release. The new furniture collections account for over 50% of total sales.
In the first half of the year, 80% of customers opted for contemporary style furniture, while classic furniture accounted for 20% of home furniture sales. On the office furniture segment, sales increased by 17% from the same period last year. Exports to western markets fell 4%, following the moderate descending trend recorded in the past three years.
Mobexpert Group is a leader on the Romanian furniture market with its two brands: Mobexpert - home furniture stores and Mobexpert Office - mobilier pentru birou şi colectivităţi. In 2006, Mobexpert Group reported a turnover of 150 million EUR.
Mobexpert"s network includes four hypermarkets in Bucharest, two in Brasov and 27 stores throughout the country. Mobexpert Office is also present in Sofia (Bulgaria) and Belgrad (Serbia) and exports furniture to France, Germany, the Netherlands, etc.
