Moldoplast - Iasi is showing some signs of recovery, according to the figures released for the first half of the year. From a turnover of 1,030,020 RON in the first half of 2006, the company has moved ahead 43.37% to 1,476,828 RON amid an 88.55% increase in production. Labor productivity thereby increased by 87.34%, considering that the number of employees remained constant.
Losses halved from 1,508,971 RON in H1:2006 to 738,387 RON in H1:2007, of which 431,028 RON from uncertain customers, 347,431 RON from domestic customers and 17,395 RON from foreign customers. A relevant factor in the evaluation of the overall performance is that the company halted operations between October 2005 and May 2006 following the loss of power supply.
The target for this year is 6.2 million RON in turnover and, for the first time in 10 years, a profit: 200,000 RON. Scheduled investments amount to 1.8 million EUR. Moldoplast is controlled by International Import Export Company - Iasi with 96.36%.
