Moldova - Vaslui (listed as MODY on the RASDAQ platform of the Bucharest Stock Exchange) concluded the first nine months of the year with a turnover of 642,293 RON, up nearly 50 per cent from the 430,632 RON reported at the end of September 2008.
Operating revenues increased from 430,785 RON to 642,822 RON, whereas operating expenses increased by 125,537 RON to 378,549 RON. The operating profit was therefore 264,273 RON, up by 86,520 RON from the corresponding period of 2008.
As financial operations generated a profit of 130,416 RON, Moldova - Vaslui concluded the first nine months of the year with a gross profit of 394,689 RON, as the delta between total revenues of 773,238 RON and total expenses of 378,549 RON. At the end of September 2008, the company reported a gross profit of 280,403 RON.
Nine months through the year, Moldova - Vaslui reported receivables in the amount of 273,876 RON and debts of 398,607 RON.
Moldova - Vaslui was established in 1990 as a wholesaler and retailer of edible and non-edible products. The company also derives some revenues from renting ten commercial spaces and buildings in the city of Vaslui. Constantin Stefanescu is the main shareholder with 49.76 per cent, followed by Broadhurst Investment Limited with 10.89 per cent. Various individuals control an aggregated 39.11 per cent, while various companies hold the remaining 0.24 per cent.
