Unionists of CNS Cartel ALFA yesterday asked the Parliament to pass a motion of no confidence in the Boc Government.
According to union leader, Bogdan Hossu, the government is guilty of taking responsibility for a different version of the law of unified wages than the version agreed upon with the social partners.
Bogdan Hossu explained: "Whereas until yesterday, following the negotiation with the Government multiplication coefficient 1 was equal to the minimum wage (which was scheduled to increase to 705 lei in 2010, 765 lei in 2011, 845 lei in 2012, 935 lei in 2013, 1,015 lei in 2014 and 1,100 in 2015), the Government today announced that said coefficient number 1 was not actually the minimum wage, but rather the minimum wage for the public sector. What"s more, according to the decision of the government, the minimum wage in the public sector will only be pegged to the inflation rate, meaning that the transition period to the project will last until 2020, instead of 2015".
The unionist said that guaranteeing the current salaries and decreasing the aggregated wage bill would lead to freezing small salaries for the next ten years.
"By changing the text of the law of Unitary Wages, using as always the "IMF requirements" as a shield, the Government proves that it does not want to promote a fair wage policy, that would generate social solidarity, but rather it looks after the interests of some groups that want to continue evading taxes", the leader of CNS Cartel ALFA concluded.
