In July and August, "a part (of the army) will be mobilized for the protection, in the broadest sense, of the Olympic Games, in support of internal security forces," added the French official. The military will be responsible, in particular, for protecting the starting point for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on the Seine River in Paris. "It is important that this deployment be anticipated," said Schill. The army will create accommodation in a park near the capital for "several thousand soldiers." In addition to the military, the device will also include police officers and security agents from private firms.
