We look with pride at those who have created an invaluable legacy and who continue to motivate and inspire new generations of champions. 318 medals mean more than gold, silver and bronze, they mean a treasure trove of values that have enriched a nation. You, through your performances, successes and belief in Olympic values, have demonstrated that Romania is a strong nation in sports. Your performances have shown the world that a relatively small country can compete at the highest level thanks to talent and determination. Looking into the hall, we see the continuation of the Olympic dream. The past, the present and the future meet here". During the event, the COSR awarded the Golden Belt to the President of the European Olympic Committees, Spyros Capralos, and the Secretary General of the EOC, Raffaele Pagnozzi, for their contribution to Olympic success.
