Panasonic Romania Reports Q1 Turnover of 46 Mln EUR

Panasonic Romania concluded the financial year ended March 31st with turnover of 46,043 million EUR, exceeding estimates by 2,31%, according to CEO Cristian Savulescu, quoted by NewsIn. Company representatives expect turnover to grow in the financial year 2007 - 2008, due to increasing demand for electrical equipment, especially plasma and LCD TV sets.

The best selling office products were faxes, phone systems and Dect Phones. On the consumer electronics segment, plasma and LCD TV sets accounted for approximately 50% of revenues.

Panasonic is a brand of Japan-based Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., one of the world"s largest electronics producers, established in 1918. The company"s global sales reached 76,02 billion USD in March last year.
