Paper Plus estimates that paper sales will gain 50-60% next year amid a significant increase in demand for Away-from-Home (AfH) products from the real estate and HoReCa industries. "Given the significant increase in demand for paper from the real estate and HoReCa industries, we estimate that sales of Lotus Professional products will gain 50-60% in 2008. Paper Plus has logged constant growth over the years and the presence of the world paper producer Georgia Pacific on the Romanian market is a significant factor contributing to the consolidation of our business," said Paper Plus General Manager Marian Ivan.
According to him, sales of Lotus Professional, a Georgia Pacific brand, generated 10% of the AfH sales in the first five months of 2007. Specifically, Lotus Professional sales consisted in 700 dispensers and 30 tons of consumables. The development of the real estate market generated a 80% increase in sales, whereas the HoReCa segment increased orders by 20%.
Last year"s sales amounted to over 750 tons of paper, whereas estimates for 2008 point to a 30% increase in turnover to 3 million EUR as the HoReCa orders are expected to double. Paper Plus was established in 2002 and is present in Arad, Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj, Craiova, Iasi, Ploiesti and Timisoara.
