Petrom Forecasts 37% EBITDA Cut In 2007

Petrom estimates a 37% year-on-year decrease in EBITDA for this year amid a significant decrease in the international price of oil and the temporary shutdown of a refinery for maintenance. Moreover, the Group traditionally prefers to release prudent estimates. According to the Board, the EBIT could decrease to 1.7 billion RON this year, from the 2.1 billion RON forecast for 2006. The revenue forecast is 10.6 billion RON, slightly down from 10.9 billion RON in 2006. EBITDA has been outlined at 2.8 billion RON, down from 3 billion RON a year before. According to Wood Company, a 1 USD move in the oil barrel price generates a 4% move in the consolidated EBITDA.
