EnglishPhoenix Trans Speditions Romania has signed a merger agreement with Equus a leading freight forwarder in Poland. Phoenix GM Liana Ionita said the company had sold 51% to Equus and had increased share capital from 1,000 RON to 351,000 RON. Although Equus has become the majority shareholder in Phoenix, the company will continue to be managed by Phoenix Trans Speditions.
The company will be rebranded as Phoenix Trans Equus and will invest over 2 million EUR this year in buying over 20 trucks. Phoenix Trans Speditions ended last year with 3.25 million EUR in turnover and is aiming for 20 million EUR in three years, following the recent merger. For this year, the company estimates 5.5 million EUR in turnover.
