Building materials distributor Peri Romania has filed for the bankruptcy of Turkish construction company Yapitek SRL, the contractor building the Planorama residential complex in the Doamna Ghica area of Bucharest. The complex is designed to have some 1,000 apartments, which have been sold already.
The investment is made by Euro Habitat, a company specially set up for this purpose by BSR Europe. Euro Habitat Sales Manager Leonard Ceausu told Bursa that construction works were progressing normally and that Yapitek was a reliable company. In his opinion, the conflict with the supplier can be solved in court, concurrently with the construction works. According to debt recovery firm Urban & Asociatii, Yapitek owes some 7 million EUR, of which 4.5 million EUR to Banc Post.
