Building materials producer Pomponio has acquired Investim - Simeria, which landed 4.5 million EUR in turnover last year. The new owners is planning to invest over 3 million EUR in Investim over the next few years, primarily in environment care, automation and customer service improvement. "We have acquired Investim to satisfy the increasing market demand and to expand the building material distribution scope. After the scheduled investments are completed, we estimate a 20% productivity increase and the alignment of environmental indices with the current indices of the group," said Pomponio CEO Luca Anversa.
Pomponio can currently supply concrete and concrete prefabs on a 200 km. radius around their stations in Cluj, Alba, Sebes and Simeria. The company concluded H1 with a 150% turnover growth to some 38 million RON and a significant increase in profit to 5.6 million RON. The company was established in 2000. Last year"s turnover was 47 million RON, whereas estimates for this year indicate an 80% increment to 82 million RON.
