The shareholders of Prefab Bucharest, specializing in the production of construction materials, have approved the borrowing of up to 20 million Euros in order to support the company's production program and its investment plan for the 2011-2012 period. The company plans to spend 45.99 million lei on investments next year.
At the end of September the company has borrowed 5 million Euros from BRD to invest it into a cogeneration plant, which will be delivered by the Japanese group Kawasaki to the plant of Călăraşi.
After the first nine months, Prefab has seen a business turnover of 53.1 million lei, down 8%, due to having cut its prices, whereas its profit fell five times, to 672,000 lei.
Romerica Internaţional of Bucharest, which is controlled by Marian Petre Miluţ, owns 81% of Prefab, while SIF Muntenia owns 13% of the shares.
