NCR and Printec are the first to introduce in Romania the new range of NCR Self Serv automated teller machines (ATMs), which enable banks to offer additional services such as cash deposit, invoice payment, no-touch card reader, monthly balance print, biometric authentication etc. The NCR Self Serv rang is designed for a high degree of availability, which allows an increase by 16,000 additional customers per 100 ATMs in a year. The innovative "self-healing" technology reduces the downtime caused by software errors from 3-4 hours to several minutes and also reduces the overall energy consumption of the ATM. "The new range of Self Serv ATMs comprises ten models, all of which are available in Romania. The 20 series is focused on cash disbursement, while the 30 series offers additional services such as intelligent cash deposits. Both series have models for indoor, as well as for outdoor use," said Helmut Baumann, NCR Partners Director EMEA.
