The share capital of ProCredit Bank was increased by 5 million Euros at the end of last month, now exceeding 140.309 million Euros, according to a press release by the bank.
Following this operation, Commerzbank now holds 21.02% of ProCredit Bank, KfW - 13,21%, International Finance Corporation - 12.06%, The EBRD - 16.53%, ProCredit Holding - 32.22% and Internationale Projekt Consult - 4.96%.
Gian Marco Felice, the general manager of ProCredit Bank Romania, made the following statement: "We are happy to have the support of our shareholders under the current circumstances, which sends a positive signal to the bank and to our customers. The share capital increase strengthens the role that ProCredit Bank has in the Romanian economic sector, thus strengthening the bank"s capacity to support the development Romanian SMEs as well as the agricultural sector".
ProCredit Bank focuses on lending to very small businesses, as well as to small and medium enterprises.
