The National Confederation of Romanian Professional Associations (CNPR) yesterday announced, in a press release, that it supports the creation of a National Pact intended to generate new jobs in Romania. Businesspeople claim that the lack of such measures has seriously affected the business environment and has caused the number of unemployed workers to increase by 200,000.

"We need a policy which would help stimulate the creation of jobs, both by stimulating the business environment, as well as by reducing and directing welfare aid towards those who really need it", CNPR officials concluded.
