Profit of Socot Târgu-Mureş has increased over three times in H1 2011

Socot Târgu-Mureş has seen its revenues increase 29.8% in the first semester of 2011, from 46.57 million lei to 60.49 million lei. About 95% of the revenues come from the contracts that the company concluded with the Romanian water company (Compania Naţională Apele Române).

In H1 2011, the company had a net profit of 2.14 million lei, about three times higher YOY, when it stood at 654,000 lei, as the company"s expenses increased only 26.5% during the reviewed period, from 45.8 million lei to 57.92 million lei.

The most important shareholder of the company is Sorin Apostol, the general manager of KBC Securities, who controls 32.42% of the shares, whereas Eugen Popa, the chairman of the company"s board of Directors and the managing director of Socot, owns 21.57% of the shares. The employee association of Socot controls a block of 22.22% of the company.
