Prospectiuni (BSE:PSN), controlled by the Romanian-born businessman Ovidiu Tender on Monday acquired 75,000 own shares worth 178,725 RON. The price was 0.2383 RON/share.
Since mid-August, the company has been running a share buyback programme targeting up to 10 per cent of the company"s share capital. The share buyback programme was authorizes by the General Meeting of Shareholders held in September 2008 and stipulates that the shares thereby acquired will be used in share option programmes or will be allocated to the shareholders or to an associated company.
Prospectiuni shareholders at that time allocated 71.8 million RON, counting on a maximum acquisition price of 1 RON/share.
The company concluded the first half of the year with a profit of 22.26 million RON, up from the 1.84 million RON reported for the first six months of 2008.
Prospectiuni has a market value of 170.89 million RON calculated at the price of 0.238 RON/share logged at closing bell yesterday. Tender Co. controls the company with 69.48 per cent, whereas financial investment firm SIF Muntenia has 11.86 per cent.
