North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un yesterday offered Russian President Vladimir Putin his country's "full and unconditional support" for the Russian Federation's "sacred struggle" to defend its security interests and said Pyongyang would always alongside Moscow on the "anti-imperialist" front.

"I am honored that the president has prepared an opportunity to meet in a special environment at the launch station, which is the heart of your space superpower position, and has given us a deep understanding of the way forward. Now Russia rose to a sacred struggle to defend its state sovereignty and protect its security in opposition to the hegemonic forces opposing the country. And now we want to further develop relations. We have always supported and support all the decisions of President Putin, as well as the decisions of the Russian government. I also hope that we will always be together in the fight against imperialism and building a sovereign state," Kim told Putin.

We mention that at the official dinner that preceded yesterday's meeting of the two heads of state, according to the information published on the website of the Russian presidency, Kim Jong Un said: "Comrade Putin and I have just discussed in depth the situation politico-military on the Korean Peninsula and in Europe and we reached a consensus on further strengthening strategic and tactical cooperation, support and solidarity in the struggle to protect the sovereign right to security and to create guarantees of lasting peace in the region and around the world . We are confident that the Russian army and people will surely win a great victory in the holy struggle to punish the evil alliance that claims hegemony and nurtures the expansionist illusion of a stable environment for development."

The two heads of state met at the Vostochny cosmodrome, located in the Amur region in the far east of the Russian Federation, with Vladimir Putin choosing the site because his North Korean counterpart wants to launch a spy satellite.

"That's why we came here," Putin said when reporters asked if Russia would help Kim build satellites.

"DPRK leader shows great interest in missile engineering; they are also trying to develop space," continued Vladimir Putin.

North Korean President Kim Jong-Un wants to launch a spy satellite to complement his nuclear military program that includes the development of new ballistic missiles, drones and attack submarines. During yesterday's meeting, Vladimir Putin presented Kim with the Vostochny Cosmodrome, including the building where Angara, the Russian Federation's new space launch vehicle, is assembled.

Shortly before the meeting between the two presidents, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles from an area near the capital Pyongyang that fell into the sea off its east coast. It was the first such launch by North Korea while Kim Jong-Un is abroad, analysts said, demonstrating an increased level of delegation and more refined control systems for the country's nuclear and missile programs.

Asked by journalists if he will discuss with the leader of Pyongyang also about the replenishment of the stock of weapons and ammunition of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin specified that all issues will be discussed, including political, economic, humanitarian and cultural ones, but also about the situation in region.

EU and US military analysts say the Russian Federation would buy artillery shells from North Korea to use on the Ukrainian front, while Pyongyang would receive food, fuel and modern military technology.

Regarding their claims, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, according to AlJazeera, that just as the West sent weapons to Ukraine, the Russian Federation also has the right to receive weapons from North Korea, without specifying whether Putin and Kim signed any arms transfer agreement.
