Finally, on Tuesday, the Financial Oversight Authority (ASF) found the complaint filed by Mr. Gheorghe Palade, concerning the theft of shares that he was a victim of, after Radu Soviani, the spokesperson of the ASF had said on Monday that no such complaint had been found in its the records.
"Going further back with our search, the ASF had proven indeed able to ascertain that a complaint submitted to the ASF by Gheorghe Palade exists and was submitted about four months ago. In this case, the ASF has notified the Prosecutors' Office of the County of District 1 as a result of the suspicion of stock theft, forgery, use of forgery, false statements, false identity", the reply received yesterday from the Communication Department of the ASF states. The reply also mentions that the Authority has notified the Prosecutors' Office and that it has informed Mr. Gheorghe Palade about having done so on June 14th, 2013.
Yesterday's response of the ASF was not signed by Radu Soviani, unlike the one by which we were informed that the institution has been unable to find the complaint. To avoid having Mr. Soviani continue searching in vain, we want to inform him that the complaint has been found by his colleagues, and we hereby present it in a facsimile, to spare him the efforts of acting like an investigative journalist, and help him remain what he has always been: a spokesperson for the ASF nowadays, and for Sorin Ovidiu Vântu previously.
How many other such complaints have been lost within the bowels of the ASF?
Exclusively in the mass-media, the BURSA newspaper continued, on Tuesday, with its revelations about the series of stock trades performed without the authorization of their owners, followed by the withdrawal of the proceeds from the sale of the shares using bank accounts, operations performed using forged ID documents. After we reported on Thursday about the head of the mission of the IFC in Romania, Ana Maria Mihăescu, who saw shares worth 200,000 Euros stolen from her, yesterday we have reported about the situation of Gheorghe Palade, a retiree residing in Câmpina, who saw shares worth 52,000 lei stolen from him.
