EnglishNine months after entering the market, Raiffeisen Asset Management has reported an asset portfolio of over 100 million RON, up from 17.6 million RON initially invested by Raiffeisen Bank in the two funds introduced in end-June 2006. Raiffeisen Asset Management manages a fund focused on shares (64 million RON) and a fund focused on bonds (31 million RON).
The company has over 2600 customers in 9 months, compared to the 7000 new customers attracted by the overall mutual fund market in 2006. "The results we have achieved so far, the increase in the individuals" revenues and the continuous decrease in commercial interest rates strengthen our expectations regarding the development of the mutual fund market in Romania, which we estimate at 1-2 billion EUR in 3-5 years," said Mihail Ion, CEO of Raiffeisen Asset Management.
