The Automobile Dacia Union is preparing to sue car wiring manufacturer Leoni - Mioveni for having fired 22 out of the 280 employees, NewsIn reports. The 22 workers, most of whom women, were given notice on Tuesday and will become unemployed after 20 business days. They will receive severance in the amount of 9 salaries, which is approximately 10,000 RON. Ion Iordache, Vice President of the Automobile Dacia Union said the decision was illegal and would do everything in his power to help the soon-to-be unemployed. "The Union has already prepared the paperwork necessary for starting a law suit. What happened there is an abuse. They claim they are downsizing production. We will do everything necessary to reverse the decision," he said. The Union announced that Dacia - Renault was not planning any job cuts for the time being. The plant halted production on 30 and 31 October following the need to adjust to the decrease in demand. Production will be halted again on 13, 14, 20 and 21 November.
