The Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), the Ministry of Defense (MAPN) and the Ministry of Interior and Administration Reform (MIRA) have signed an agreement under which retired militaries can receive their pensions via debit card accounts opened with the bank. BCR"s Director of Business Development and Retail Products Sorin Mititelu said: "BCR is offering retired militaries a simple, fast and comfortable way to collect their pensions. All they need is a trip to the bank to open an account and to request to receive their pension into that account."

BCR is offering customers permanent access to their accounts via the widest network of ATMs and POS". Those who opt for this offer will be able to start receiving their pension into their BCR accounts in November.
