Reuters: Enel a finalizat vânzarea unor active de energie din SUA pentru 271 de milioane de dolari

Enel a finalizat vânzarea unui portofoliu de active de energie regenerabilă din Statele Unite către Ormat Technologies pentru 271 de milioane de dolari, a anunţat joi cea mai mare companie de utilităţi din Italia, citată de Reuters.

Acordul, anunţat anul trecut, face parte din eforturile grupului de a-şi reduce datoria şi de a-şi eficientiza prezenţa în străinătate.

Conform acordului, Enel îşi cesionează întregul portofoliu geotermal în Statele Unite, împreună cu o serie de centrale solare mici, cu o capacitate totală de 150 de megawaţi (MW).

Mişcarea este aşteptată să aibă un efect pozitiv în valoare de aproximativ 250 de milioane de euro (274 de milioane de dolari) asupra datoriei nete consolidate a Enel, dar va avea un impact negativ, cu aproximativ 30 de milioane de euro, asupra venitului net raportat al grupului, a spus grupul într-un comunicat.

Tranzacţia nu va avea niciun impact asupra rezultatelor economice obişnuite ale companiei, a adăugat Enel.

Capacitatea consolidată a energiei regenerabile a Enel după tranzacţie se va ridica la aproximativ 9,7 gigawaţi (GW) în America de Nord.

Prezentând strategia actualizată pentru grup, noul CEO Flavio Cattaneo a declarat în noiembrie că Enel va renunţa la un plan de dezvoltare a unei reţele extinse de puncte de încărcare pentru maşini electrice, în timp ce va continua cu ideea de a construi împreună cu un partener din SUA o fabrică de panouri solare în Statele Unite.

La acea vreme, Cattaneo a spus că grupul evaluează posibilitatea unui parteneriat care să permită potenţialei noi fabrici de panouri solare să beneficieze de sprijinul administraţiei Biden pentru proiecte de tranziţie energetică.

Sub conducerea directorului său anterior, Enel a spus că va înfiinţa o fabrică de celule solare şi panouri în Oklahoma, lângă Tulsa, pentru a produce 3 gigawaţi de produse solare anual, primele panouri urmând să fie produse până la sfârşitul anului 2024.
