EnglishRingier AG and Dogan Yayin Holding AS (DYN) will sign an acquisition agreement following which Ringier will hold 25% in Kanal D Romania (Dogan Media International), which will be launched and start broadcasting on February 18th, 2007. DYH (DYHOL.IS) is the biggest media-entertainment group in Turkey, with revenues exceeding $1,2 billion and a 42% share in the advertising market. DYN is active in broadcasting (radio and television), newspaper, magazine and book publishing, contract printing and new media. Outside Turkey, the DYH printing division operates in Germany, and the company"s TV channels and publications are distributed in many European countries.
Ringier Group is the largest media company in Swtzerland, operating internationally and employing over 6500 people worldwide. Ringier publishes over 100 titles in 12 countries, produces more than 20 TV shows, has over 50 on-line platforms and 11 printing houses. The company"s annual revenues exceed 1 billion Swiss francs (800 million EUR).
