Virgil Mija, who holds 45% of Roclip Făgăraş, the only Romanian maker of potato, beans, peas and soy dehydrated flakes, announced this spring that the company would urgently need a 6-7 million Euro loan for upgrading its equipment. This year, shareholders voted in favor of renting the company"s hangars to interested investors. "We are specifically referring to the sheds used for the storage of our raw materials, but now that there are large sheds for storing potatoes we no longer use them", Virgil Mija said. He said that in the last two years, the company invested about two million Euros in upgrading its equipment and in improving its distribution. "We are happy that we managed to build partnerships with retail chains all over Romania, which led to a significant increase in our turnover", he said .
