International consulting firm "Roland Berger Strategy Consultants", actve in the field of postal service restructuring, will provide consulting and financial services for the restructuring of national company "Posta Romana". The contract with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCTI) was signed yesterday at MCTI headquarters, following the selection of "Roland Berger" based on a quality-cost criterion.
The contract will be fulfilled within 18 months and the cost of the services provided amounts to 1.8 Mln EUR.
The restructuring of "Posta Romana" aims at company market value maximization before starting the privatisation process, according to a MCTI press release sent to our newspaper yasterday.
The project will develop in two phases: preparing a company restructuring strategy and consulting services provided for the MCTI and the company management in order to implement the restructuring strategy.
"Posta Romana" has over 35.000 employees and over 7.000 units though which it provides postal services for the whole country.
"Posta Romana" is the national operator in the field of postal services, issuing and selling stamps and postal effects, and at the same time, it is a supplier of added value services such as computer program development, foreign exchange, consulting services, shipping services.
