Roman Brasov Increases Share Capital By 1,42 Mln RON

Shareholders in truck manufacturer Roman SA Brasov have approved an increase in the company"s share capital by 1,42 million RON, the amount representing the value of investments made by the majority shareholder, according to a report to Rasdaq.

The company issued 568.400 shares with a face value of 2,50 RON in favor of the majority shareholder, Pro Roman SA, the shares corresponding to the latter"s investments in development and environmental safety. Other shareholders can subscribe to Roman Brasov shares within a month from the date the decision is published in the Official Gazette. Pro Roman is the majority shareholder, with 91,34%, while the Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) holds 3,11% in the truck manufacturer.

In the first quarter of 2006, the company posted 133,5 million RON in turnover and reported a profit of 192.432 RON. At the end of 2005, the company had posted a loss of 14 million RON (3,8 million EUR) and a turnover of 67,54 million RON (18,37 million EUR). Roman Brasov shares are listed on the first tier of Rasdaq under the symbol ROVA.
