"Romania Invest" wants to buy homes worth 40 million Euros

Romanian-Norwegian investment fund "România Invest" yesterday announced, in a press conference, that it would allocate around 40 million Euros to acquire apartments which are in the construction stage, provided it finds homes of adequate quality to purchase. The amount only accounts for the down payments scheduled for 2010. The decision was made by the entire Norwegian Board of Directors, following the results of the sales organization ("Be Igloo") for 2009 and in order to take advantage of the current drop in home prices. "România Invest" currently owns around 800 apartments in several residential complexes in Bucharest.
