"I think that Romania's relationship with Russia is fair, based on mutual respect and benefits, when it comes to trade. There are projects which we are looking to develop together, there are major companies that come and show interest in < Oltchim > Râmnicu Vâlcea. We met with the representatives of < Lukoil >, in an official visit. I have seen the problems which they are facing - they have a certain problem on the gas station segment. I talked to them, just like I talked to < Petrom > and MOL, about the royalty, pricing policy etc. For now, we have met with the major companies of Russia, to discuss the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. There are important Russian companies, just like the one you mentioned (ed. note: < Gazprom >), which are focused on these sectors. If we succeed in integrating the < Arpechim > refinery, I am convinced that the privatization of < Oltchim > will be a success. We will find a powerful investor, who will take this company further, a company which is important for Romania, but which is unfortunately in a disastrous situation".
