According to a press release from the Ministry of IMM, Commerce, Tourism and Liberal Professions, Romanian-Austrian trading has increased over ten times, export over four times, and import over 33 times. Imports from Austria have reached 1,1 billion EUR in the first half of 2007, an increase of 9.6% compared to last year, representing 4.66% of total Romanian imports.
Romanian exports to Austria have reached 389.48 million EUR in the first half of 2007, an increase of 2.5% if compared to the same period of last year. Romanian exports to Austria represent 2.76% of the total Romanian exports, Austria ranking seventh in Romanian exports.
As far as investments of Romanian companies with Austrian capital are concerned, on the 30th of July 2007, the subscribed capital amounted to 2.24 billion EUR, representing 13,47% of total foreign investments to Romania.
