Twelve Romanian companies operating in sectors such as civil and industrial engineering, electricity, metalwork-mechanics, IT, consulting, corporate management, food industry, office automation and tourism have presented Romania's exports in an economic mission to Colombia, Peru and Chile.
According to a press release by the Ministry of the Economy, new business opportunities were identified during this mission and partnership agreements were signed with companies and institutions of the three countries which were visited.
In Colombia, the 12 Romanian companies met with over 45 companies from the sectors which were of interest to the members of the Romanian delegation. This helped uncover cooperation opportunities in order to achieve projects in the industrial and civil engineering, renewable energy and tourism. Romanian companies received inquiries for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and DMS (Document Management Software) software, tools and machinery for wood processing, and agri-food products. Latest generation lighting systems for public areas, offices and homes caused extreme interest.
Also signed was a Cooperation Protocol between the Colombian Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACOPI) and the Romanian National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises (CNIPMMR).
In Peru, the Romanian party discussed the points of the interest of the Romanian economy and Romania's potential on the Peruvian market, noting the complementary nature of the economies of the two states.
Another important item on the agenda of the Romanian mission was the signing, at the headquarters of the Romanian Embassy, of the Convention for Cooperation between the Romanian National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises (CNIPMMR) and the Chamber of Commerce of Lima.
A few days ago, the Romanian ambassador in Chile, His Excellency Florin Angelo Florian, emphasized, during the visit of the Romanian economic mission in Chile, the business opportunities for the two countries, and the importance of Romanian companies being more active on the Chilean market. On that occasion, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Romanian National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises (CNIPMMR) and CONUPIA.
The two parties have also identified business opportunities and cooperation projects, the press release states.
