Battery manufacturer Rombat reported a turnover of 30,9 million EUR for 2006, up 19% year-on-year. In 2006, the company"s profit reached 3 million EUR, while investments amounted to approximately 1,75 million EUR.
The company"s objectives for the current year include the development of its distribution chain by opening new warehouses and increasing sales by 20%. Rombat currenly holds a 60% share in the car battery market. For 2007, the company estimates a turnover of 38 million EUR, namely a 22 % rise from the previous year.
Rombat intends to maintain its position on the market, which is why the company will continue to invest in production and distribution capacity. The objectives for 2007 include investments worth 5,5 million EUR in expansion and modernization, as well as the opening of warehouses in Bucharest, Iasi, Ramnicu Valcea, Deva, Brasov and Craiova.
