Rompetrol Well Services posted a net profit of 6.28 million RON (2 million EUR) in the second quarter of 2007, up 4 times as compared to the same period last year, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Turnover amounted to 22.36 million RON (7.13 million EUR), increasing 1.78 times from 12.56 million RON in the year-ago quarter.
The company reported a net profit of 8.96 million RON (2.85 million EUR) in the first half of 2007, up 2.28 times from 3.9 million RON in the corresponding period of 2006. Turnover rose by 50% in the first six months, amounting to 39.96 million RON (12.75 million EUR). In the first half of 2006, Rompetrol Well Services posted 26.49 million RON in turnover.
The company estimates a net profit of 3.05 million RON for the current year, down by 22.6% as compared with 9.94 million RON in 2006. Revenues should increase by 4.46% to 19.70 million USD at year-end.
Rompetrol Well Services is a member company of Group since 2000 and specializes in well services for the extraction of crude oil and natural gas. The company has a share capital of 9.27 million RON and a capitalisation of 144.65 million RON (45.34 million EUR). Rompetrol Well Services is controled by the Rompetrol Group NV which holds 51% in the company. Rompetrol Well Services is listed on Tier 2 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as PTR.
