RWE is interested in participating in the privatisation process of Turceni and Rovinari energy complexes and also in the development of the Tarnita - Lapustesti hydropower plant, a project that is currently in the feasibility study phase. The company is also among the preselected potential investors for the investment model regarding the construction of units 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, according to the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

These intentions were presented in a meeting between Economy and Trade Minister Varujan Vosganian and representatives of the German company RWE Power, who also presented the company profile and its investment programs. Currently, RWE Power is involved in the construction of two modern energy groups, with a cumulated power of 2100 MW, and in large investment projects in the alternative energy sector.
