Sales of "Avicarvil" increased 35%, in H1 2011, as the company"s turnover surpassed 47 million lei. The chicks which are raised "just like in the traditional peasant households", to quote Iustin Paraschiv, the owner of "Avicarvil", have helped the company"s turnover pass the 75 million lei mark in 2010.
Iustin Paraschiv said: "Consumer preference in 2010 and in the first half of 2011 have shown us that people are increasingly interested in the quality of the products that they consume, favoring the natural ones. As a result, we have focused exclusively on the on the < La Provincia, home grown chicken > poultry brand, to be present in the market for such products together with the other producers ".
He added: "The sustained growth of the business of < Avicarvil > of 2010, based on the home grown chicken and the continuation of this trend, have encouraged us to bet on diversification and to begin the studies for the construction of a new organic farm", Iustin Paraschiv said.
"Avicarvil" belongs to the group of companies owned by the Paraschiv family, which ended the year 2010 with a turnover of approximately 160 million Euros. The group runs businesses in sectors such as agriculture, animal production, trade etc.
The most important company of the group is producer and retailer "Ana and Cornel", set up in 1994. The group has its own distribution network which includes the counties of Vâlcea, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Olt, Prahova, Bucharest, Ialomiţa, Vrancea, Bacău etc.
The group also includes the companies "Carmistin Ladrisi Grup", "Pajo Holding" and "Avicarvil". In mid-2010, the group had 2000 employees.
