Austrian-based Salesianer Miettex has entered the virtually uncharted market for professional dry cleaning and rental services in Romania and is planning to focus on hotels, restaurants, medical institutions and other large customers.
"Romania is the largest market where we are present. The market"s business potential and the unique nature of our services have prompted us to invest here. In 2005, we decided to build a factory here. Now we are going to inaugurate it on June 26th, 2007," said Victor Ioane, GM of Salesianer Miettex - Romania.
The rental package includes the procurement, washing / dry cleaning, storage, pick-up, delivery and replacement of customer-required textiles. Customers are able to decide on the type of cloth, size, color, customization and the frequency of the exchanges.
Internationally, Salesianer Miettex processes 240 tons of textiles per day with 1,650 employees. The company started as a family business in Austria, in 1916. Results for the 2006 - 2007 fiscal year include a 100 million EUR in turnover.
