EnglishIT and household appliance retailer Flamingo International (FLA) announced on Friday that Selgros Cash&Carry has filed a lawsuit against it, asking for the bankruptcy of the company, for a debt of almost 70,000 lei.
"Selgros did not take any steps to clarify the situation of the amounts each company owed the other before resorting to legal action", the press release by Flamingo says.
"Flamingo and Selgros had a lengthy collaboration, in which Flamingo was the supplier of IT products and household appliances, and Selgros was the beneficiary, by selling our products through its retail network", the press release says.
Losses of the electronics retailer rose in H1 2009, to 22.19 million lei (5.25 million Euros), as its turnover dropped 24% over H1 2008, when the company reported a loss of 1.88 million lei.
