The bill proposed by senator Iulian Urban concerning the revision of the law governing the operations of the National Integrity Agency (ANI) that would require journalists to disclose their political affiliations was rejected yesterday by the Legal Commission of the Senate.
The proposal by the PD-L senator was rejected after the senators of the PSD (Social Democrat Party) and the PNL (National Liberal Party) voted against it. Iulian Urban however can still submit his proposal before the plenum of the senate.
The members of the Senate"s Juridical Commission also rejected another bill which required any other employees in the budgetary sector to submit individual wealth and interest statements in case their wage exceeds five average wages per month.
