The State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS) directed over 40% of their revenues to the victims of the National Investment Fund (FNI), according to data released by AVAS representatives.

In the first seven months of the year, AVAS paid approximately 44.8 million RON to former investors in the late National Investment Fund. The revenues reported by AVAS for the same period stand at 101.4 million RON.

In the first half of the year, AVAS requested a loan of 212 million RON from the State Treasury in order to make payments to the victims of the FNI.

Based on four court rulings, AVAS must pay compensations to over 23,400 investors in the bankrupt National Investment Fund.

In terms of revenues, AVAS reported the collection of 7.8 million RON from various debtors in the first half of the year. Most of the money came from foreclosures on the accounts of Interagro - Bucharest, Avicola - Brasov and others.

The largest of all individual amounts, 3.01 million RON, was recovered by foreclosing on the accounts of Interagro, a company controlled by the businessman Ioan Niculae.
