Shares of "Amonil" Slobozia, in freefall

Shares of fertilizer maker "Amonil" Slobozia (symbol: AMO) have lost approximately 40% in the last three trading sessions, following Wednesday"s announcement that the company"s current creditor, "Chemgas Holding Corporation" SRL, would request the seizing of the company"s assets.

Several assets of "Amonil" will be put up for sale through public auction in the beginning of October, for at least 57.12 million lei.

On Friday, shares of Amonil continued their strong downward trend that had begun on Wednesday, dropping 14.7%, as turnover did not exceed 13,000 lei, and they closed at 0.0159 lei/share, thus reaching a new three-month low.

Friday"s closing price puts the company"s capitalization at just 20 million lei, or just one third of the amount that "Chemgas Holding" wants to earn by selling off some of the assets of "Amonil".

The company has a share capital of 111.26 million lei, divided into shares with a face value of 0.1 lei. "Amonil" is controlled by two off-shore companies located in the Belize Islands, "Zalois", which owns 32.19% and "Jovline", which holds 18.22%.

"Salink Limited" owns 13.54%, and "Eurorom Trade & Invest",a company registered in a commune of Bihor, reported a 5.07% stake in June.
