SIF Muntenia Posts 80% Profit Decline In Q1

SIF Muntenia (BVB:SIF4) closed Q1 with 10.74 million RON in net profit, down by 80% yoy, and operating revenues of 18.15 million RON, down by 73% yoy. Expensed gained 11.41% to 6.25 million RON. The stock portfolio gained 12.73% in value to 1.44 billion lei, equal to 91.22% of the overall asset value. Listed shares account for 78.4% of the value of the stock portfolio.

The number of companies in which SIF4 holds shares decreased from 146 to 139 in Q1 as the firm exited SSIF Broker - Cluj Napoca, Carmesin, Ceprocim, Cominco - Bucharest, Comat Prahova - Ploiesti, Conintex - Bucharest, Matcon - Bistrita and Transelectrica - Bucharest. The company also lowered stakes in Atelierele CFR Grivita - Bucharest, Ciprim - Ploiesti, Dambovita Morarit Panificatie, RAFO - Onesti, Rulmenti - Barlad and Vitrometan - Medias. The overall profit resulting from these operations was 3.84 million RON.

SIF Muntenia acquired 18,217 shares in Alumil Rom Industry for 83,798 RON through an IPO and reported possession of bonds worth 18.77 million RON, namely 1.19% of the overall assets. Listed bonds account for 6.17 million RON, whereas unlisted bonds total 12,59 million RON.
