In Q1 2011, SIF Transilvania had a net profit of 89.9 million lei, a four-fold increase YOY from 22.3 million lei. In June, the profit of SIF Transilvania was 3.2 million lei, according to a report remitted by the company to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
However, in June, the net assets of SIF Transilvania fell 3.9%, from 1.521 billion lei to 1.461 billion lei, after the sold its shares in a listed company and two unlisted companies. Thus, at the end of Q1 2011, the company had holdings in 109 listed companies and 136 closed companies.
The profit obtained by the company of Braşov surpassed that of the other SIFs. SIF Moldova had a net profit of 33.5 million lei, down 41% YOY, from 57.2 million lei. SIF Oltenia reported a net profit of 29.4 million lei after the first six months, down 43% from 51.6 million lei In H1 2010.
SIF Banat-Crişana ended the first quarter with a net gain of 14.2 million lei, over two times below what it made in H1 2010 (33.1 million lei).
SIF Muntenia ended the first quarter with a net profit of 10.1 million lei, 3.5 times below the result obtained in January-June 2010, 35.5 million lei.
