EnglishSIF Transilvania (SIF3) posted a net profit of 91.6 million RON (29.23 million EUR) in the first six months of 2007, a threefold increase from 29.29 million RON in the same period last year, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Total revenues amounted to 131,3 million RON (41.9 million EUR) in the first half of the year, rising 2.6 times from 49.75 million RON in the corresponding period of 2005.
SIF Transilvania posted a net profit of 57 million RON in the second quarter of 2007, up nearly 50% from 29.13 million RON in the same period last year. Total revenues advanced by 84.44% to 77.95 million RON (24.87 million EUR in Q2.
The company estimates a net profit of 45 million RON for the current fiscal year, down 15.4% from 2006, while investments are expected to amount to 51.31 million RON.
SIF Transilvania"s net assets totalled 2.235 billion RON at the end of June, recording a 42.65% increase as compared to the previous semester, according to data published by UNOPC (the National Union of Collective Investment Bodies).
The company has a share capital of 109.2 million RON, divided into 1.092 billion shares with a face value of 0.10 RON. SIF Transilvania has a market capitalisation of 3.243 billion RON, 45.12% higher than the value of its net assets. The company is listed on Tier 1 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as SIF3. SIF Transilvania is currently the most profitable financial investment company in Romania, according to UNOPC.
