Platinum Group, developer of residential group Vitan Platinum Towers, claims that transactions with new apartments which are completed or in their final stages seem to have picked up slightly lately. "We felt a slight recovery lately. We sold five apartments these last two weeks, so, at this time, I would feel confident to start a new project or wait for direct buyers", says Platinum Group official Valentin Tănase. He said that sales were spurred by the "First Home" program as well as the special discounts the developer advertised these past few months.
According to a press release sent to our editors, the crisis eliminated the middlemen in new home transactions. Properties would go from one intermediary"s portfolio to the next, reaching the end user at a much higher price.
According to Platinum Group, the crisis lowered the number of potential buyers, but developers now sell their properties directly. The company sold 20% of the total number of homes in Vitan Platinum Towers in the design stage. Platinum Group estimates buyers who bought from intermediaries will be able to move into their homes at the same time as direct buyers.
